I use Castrol Magnatec 5w30 which is fully synthetic, and have found it stays a lot cleaner throughout use than the Ford oil used to. 70W 90 fully or part synthetic oil.

I think the fill is 2.7litres (its definitely under 3), fill until oil overflows from the fill plug then extract some oil to leave it 5-10mm below the plug.

Hmmmm I cant think what you mean. Thats the only part I can see on ECat and from memory when I took mine apart doesnt it bolt straight to the subframe?
