You do have a right to know and I would say that Lisa has answered you fairly. At the end of the day nobody was forced to sign up to the 10 year event, people did so as they thought £30 was good value for the return (which it is)!

With regard to the parts purchased, if you read above they were done so to future proof the cars for members, with regard to having duplicate parts produced, not to sell...end of.

Can we keep this thread on topic please. If you, Spike, have an issue with the club or the 10 year event contact Lisa for a refund etc...

I have no problem, with the event, or the cost of it... You & lisa both read things into my post, I didn't mean, or write. My question is on topic as its about the payments for this day, and thank you Lisa for answering it.

I mearly asked where the excess monies where going to. You, Lisa & Ed have all put a lot effort into arranging such a unique day, and the turn out proves that people appreciate your efforts, on organising such a good day.

Its a good idea, to get some parts for back engineering, to help owners in the future. ( I apologise for not reading that bit properly)

I dropped 368 off for a respray today. Looks like Duxford will be our first outing after that. I'm really looking forward to the day (which sounds great - as someone who organises the odd event professionally, and who does quite a bit of voluntary work, I know how hard & thankless this can be) and to meeting some fellow owners.

Next thing to think about is where to stay the night before!

Really tempted by this. Are there anymore spaces (short notice I know but only just got my FRP) and I know it sounds silly, but the bodywork on my FRP is really bad (I bought her as my project) and I'm a bit embaressed as she will look scruffy compared to others!! :(

yeah theres still places left and i dont think you will ever get a better frp event than this and probably the most we will ever have together in one place for the rest of frp time.

dont worry about bodywork its more about all our frp's being together it will be a great day :-).
